ONCE A SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

MY “WHYS” AS A SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT

• Why did I choose Perpetual? I chose Perpetual because of their Education services and programs. I still chose it even though I know that It would be hard for me to reach their standard. The University of Perpetual helps me to gain more knowledge. I know that Perpetual will provide the education standard for every student.
• Why did I choose HUMSS? At first, I was really thinking if this strand would help me. I was really thinking if this really suits me. STEM and HUMSS are my choices, because I was thinking that I am really bad at math, I really really want to face that fear knowing that I am now a Senior High School student but can’t do even a simple problem. But as the day passed. I think that the HUMSS strand will fit me well, and will fit my dream future. I can focus on math while focusing on my dream career. HUMSS will help me to boost my confidence and most importantly, this helps me to speak in front of a lot of people.
• Why do we need to give our best? Giving my best is one of my priorities. I’ll give my best as long as I can to make my parents proud. Studying is the only thing I could make them proud of. It was really hard for me to think about my future. Giving my best is my mark to get the future I want.
• Why is it hard? It was hard for me because I am not like the other teenagers who only think about their study, a teenager who only does their study. Time management is really important to me, I am a student, a daughter, a sister. All the obligations I have are really hard, It’s hard to juggle tasks at the same time.
• Why do I always want to be in School? Getting out of our house or being outside is my escape, School is one of my favorite because I have friends there. Being outside is my little escape of everything, stress, struggles, and sadness.
• Why is it okay for me to get low grades but not fail? It is okay for me but It is not okay all the time. Getting low grades is a disappointment for me but I’ll just do my best, rather than complaining to myself. As long as it’s not fail, I’m good with no pressure.
• Why is the library my favorite? Library is so peaceful and quiet, I always go to the library after class especially when I want to be alone but not lonely. I can focus more on things I’m studying. The smell of books, air, and the place are so peaceful.
• Why am I too shy to speak? My inner self is eating me alive, I’m scared of being criticized and being judged. I think that if I make a small mistake then I will be so embarrassed and laughed at.
• Why do I love my senior high school friends? They saved me without knowing it, I go to school not in my mood and when I get to school, I smile because there are people waiting for me who are also smiling and ready to hug me. They make me feel that I am not alone.
• Why are the subjects hard but at the same time, you’re enjoying it? It was hard because I am not a fast learner but when you study and learn it, you will gradually enjoy it. My knowledge of things is expanding and my intelligence is increasing.
